Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill Company, Inc 1967. (Hardcover) 437pp. Very good in very good dust jacket. Black and cream cloth with gilt and silver lettering and decorations to the spine. Illustrations, bibliography, sources, index. The spine is lightly rubbed, the dust jacket is price-clipped and edgeworn and there is a previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. "One of the most persistent legends in the annals of New World exploration is that of the Land of Gold. Its mythical site was located over vast areas of South America (and, later, North); it drove men mad with greed and, often as not, to their deaths". Book about Conquistadors. Locale: South America.
