About This Item
About this Item: Louis Hawkins: At the Sign of the Bookworm in the District, Seattle, 1945. Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Signed first edition, First printing stated is fine. Book is quarter bound in brown cloth over light brown boards. Book is signed on the FFE by the author and dated Sept 22 45. A possible book plate has been removed from above the inscription and the book has an ever so slight bow. The poems in this book are sound in their thought and strident in their anti-war stance. They appear to be written between 1936 and 1945. The author was very concerned with poetic form and rules. Book is very thought provoking.Book is unmarked and very solid. Collectible. Signed by Author(s).
