NY: Knopf, 1944. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. First American edition, very good+ in a very good dust jacket. Endpapers are darkened at hinges fron binder's glue; slight dulling to book's spine. The George Salter jacket has tiny chips at the head of the spine, and the spine is darkened, with a few faint water spots primarily evident on the unprinted side of the jacket. "A love story of Europeans in India, beautifully told and rich in moral and religious overtones.
