Ex school library copy with stamp in front and pocket at back else VG. Jem & his family were skilled glassmakers who had come to England from France to live in the Great Forest where they were regarded with hostility & suspicion & Jem's only friends were the wild swans. In 1639 during a Civil War a respect formed between the French glassmakers & the Forest people, the miners & foresters. A children's book (10 to 12) with beautiful full page b & w illustrations. 170 pp.
