Cream cloth, with gilt titles and border lines to spine, and pictorial dustjacket with colour reproduction of old painting of a golfer from 1839. 222pp. With 4 colour plates and 12 b&w plate, mostly reproductions of early golfing images. A celebration of golf and its history including twentieth century matches and players. Very Good book in Poor jacket, now in clear removable sleeve. Clean bright covers with a little browning to edges; pages have darkened edges, and occasional browning to pages. Owner's initial label and pencil name to front free endpaper. Jacket front image intact, but the jacket as a whole is tatty with losses to spine and edges. Photos available.
