London: Longmans, Green & Company. Poor. 1898. First Edition. Hardcover. Bound in paper-coverd boards. The boards are soiled, and rubbed at the edges. The contents are completely disbound. All the pages are loose, with many being very rubbed at the edges, and two of the pages are ripped in half (although most of the parts are there). This book can be used to repair another with missing pages, or these can simply be framed separately. Personally, I don't take anything apart when all the pieces are there. If you can't guess, this is totally as-is. By the way, included is a copy of the sheet music, "Golliwogg's Dance" by Inex Howell. ; Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall; 63 pages .

Oblong quarto (285mm x 220mm) green cloth spined pictorial cover, plain cream lower cover (slight rubbing to tips of spine's cloth/wear to edges and especially corners/ pressure marks and surface abrasions but not to title or illustrated area). Illustrated book boards are rubbed/soiled with green cloth spine complete, but mottled. Extremities show shelf wear overall, with corners worn. Pictorial end-papers. Front interior hinge is tight but has it's paper pulled away somewhat at gutter. A (top to bottom) crease to front end-paper, with a very shallow crease to several following pages. All color pages are vibrant and awesome. Some margins show faint finger smudges or just light foxing (not impacting text or illustrations.) One page has a 1" closed tear (no paper loss) at lower margin. A wonderful copy of this Nineteenth Century adventure. Protected in a mylar slip. (Sidebar: Mother (Bertha) wrote the verse and daughter (Florence) illustrated.) Insurance included. A FIRST EDITION.
