London: David Bogue. Hardback. George Cruikshank and Sir John Gilbert. Green embossed cloth, 194pp plus one page review and one page publisher's ad. Externally bumped and scuffed at corners and spine ends with a little wear to base of spine covering. Inside, neat ink gift inscription to 1st ffep is dated 1871. Owner's name to reverse of 1st ffep has been crossed out and superceded by a more recent owner's signature in red pencil. Another small ink name to reverse of frontispiece. Prelim pages appear to have been re-attached at hinge in the past and old glue has discoloured at the spine, affecting the inside edge of the title page, frontis, dedication and contents pages. Now mended with professional transparent tape.Remainder of book is tight and clean. Size: 7 x 4 Inches
