Prelims plus 396pp. Variant printed with the wrong ISBN number, ending in 6704. In red cloth-covered boards with silver block lettering to spine (boards are strong, square, fresh and sharp, just slightly rounded at spine ends). Dust marked along upper text block edge. Internally neat, clean and tight; hint of creaminess. In its original dust jacket (very slightly bumped at spine ends; short, flat corner crease at top of inner rear flap). The dust jacket is now protected in an archival-quality mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Leonard Cyril Deighton is a British author whose works include cookery books, history and military history, but he is best known for his spy novels, including the series featuring the unnamed Harry Palmer.
