Toronto: University of Toronto Press. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1983. Second Printing. Hardcover. 0802024831 . 319 p. 24 cm. Signed by Author Sound and square binding in gold, cloth-covered boards. Corners lightly bumped with light wear. Edges slightly darkened. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has edge and corner wear, and some soiling, more so to the white spine and rear panel. Top flap edges are darkened. An architectural and social history of the buildings and the people who inhabited them along the "Governor's Road" in southwestern Ontario. The authors followed the road through Oakville, Dundas, Ancaster, Brantford, Paris, Woodstock, and London. The book is inscribed and signed by Mary Byers on the title page. Also, laid in is a handwritten, half page letter from Mary Byers to the same previous owner forwarding a signed copy of the book to her. .
