About This Item
This rare edition of a late eighteenth century title was a presentation copy to a student for excellence at school. The FFEP has a beautifully executed acknowledgement and dedication in ink by the officers of the "College Communal" who both signed and stamped it on the 11th of August, 1819. The spine and hinges are intact, with a crack along the lower front edge of the binding and a small piece missing from the foot of the spine. Boards are soiled and scuffed/frayed on edges with some warping of the leather over time. Pages show signs of aging with minimal staining and browning, but all text is readable. Endpapers and fore edge are marbled.
All proceeds benefit The Friends of the San Anselmo Library. No expedited shipping outside of the United States.
