(8),(i),ii-li,(1)-7,plt 1,8-148,plts 2-8,149-192pp. . Leaves are 227mm high. Collated complete. Leaves as bright as new. No aging or foxing. A few leaves with a spot of very light soiling. There are two bits of relevant marginalia. Page 28, titled "Of the Modern Alphabet" lists 17 letters, numbered 1-17. Letters numbered 13 and 14 have a pencilled note between them: "omitted R". After the number 17 is the pencilled note: "eighteen". The first plate stands by itself after page 7. At the top of the 2nd plate, which is positioned just after page 148, is a pencilled note about plate 1's exact location. About 6 leaves with short closed margin tears, one of which with an associated 1/2" chip. .
