(B&W photographs) The full scenario, in French, for Jean Renoir's 1937 anti-war classic. Includes: full credits, numerous scene stills, a selection of contemporary press commentaries on the film, and an introductory article by Erich von Stroheim, "Ma Première Rencontre avec Jean Renoir" ("My First Meeting with Jean Renoir"). Also in this issue are briefer treatments of two additional films: Dominique Delouche's short film about Edith Stein (including an interview with Delouche) and Hiroshi Teshigahara's WOMAN IN THE DUNES (French title, LA FEMME DU SABLE). .
