Chicago: Gordon Volland. Superb rare over-sized Volland book wonderfully illustrated in color & b&w silhouettes by celebrated Rae who did many memorable books for Volland. The covers have pictorial boards w/a touch of rubbing at the spine bottom; brilliantly colorful end papers have a cute book plate pasted to the front end paper. 2 pages have short tears near the hinge, mended w/nearly invisible acid-free document tape. Copy has a partial extremely rare box that has tape mending to the sides of the nearly complete bottom half w/the box top's large panel remaining. Unusually nice copy of this rarity. OUT OF PRINT. .
