Boston: Little, Brown & Co, 1969. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Maps by Samuel H. Bryant. Fine in a Near Fine jacket, unclipped ($10.00), creased at the lower corner of the front flap, generally toned. Dark blue cloth, faded at the spine, with gilt lettering and designs on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound with a yellow top stain, bookplate inside the front board, signature on the front endpaper. Catton's biography of Grant's life during the later war years.
Synopsis
