About This Item
The survey is signed by its creator Dan G. Farley (sp?), the document signed by North Carolina Secretary of State William Hill (1773-1857; N.C. Secretary of State, 1811-1857, state librarian, 1812-1827 and 1831-1842). Hawkins, a native of Vance county, was the nephew of Senator and Indian agent Benjamin Hawkins, serving under him in Georgia and performed his first official duties in his home state by settling a claim with the Tuscarora Indians in 1801. Folded (some light foxing). Very good.
