First Edition. 284 crisp bright pages. Cloth cover with gilt lettering on spine.Book is in very good+ condition. Fly leaf has gift note and cover has one small indent. Dustjacket is in very good+ condition with no tears. Only mark is a small indent plus minor shelf wear rubbing. This book provides a detailled account of one of the most colorful and complex characters in early nineteenth century medicine. He occupied five chairs of anatomy and was the founding professor at the University of London and New York University. This biography recounts the stormy life of Granville Sharp Pattison.
