Six Guns 2001 says, "A very rare little book dealing with Vasquez, Murieta, and other California outlaws of Spanish descent." Adams 150 #124 says, "Rare." Many of the outlaws in this book were giving much trouble to the Wells Fargo Company. Sheriff Morse captured the notorious stage coach bandit, Black Bart. The original first edition has a former owner's stamped name at center of verso of rear cover, else a fine, bright copy. Housed in a cloth clamshell case with titles stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine.
