Hardback small quarto, dustjacket, good condition (in fair dustjacket) black & white text-photos (including pastedowns), spine faded jacket (light insect damage & foxing reverse side, fore-edges rubbed, small edge tears, little rubbing, small biro mark), pages lightly toned, some edgewear. 136 pp. Clive Dieppe provides a record of of our Diggers and their foe on the Western Front 1916 - 1918. This vivid pictorial documentation, arranged and edited by Clive Dieppe, sets out to give a more active and realistic presentation of the Western Front fighting as it appeared to our First A.I.F soldiers in the war (World War 1) that changed the world. There are over 190 dramatic and mainly front line photos, almost all not previously published. This amazing book recaptures with this on the spot photography and supporting written articles, a reality as existed in that Great War.
