San Diego: Frontier Heritage Press, 1971. Limited Edition. Oblong Quarto. Limited to 100 copies. The present copy is #90. 1x [2] 191 [1] pp. Illustrated in color and black and white. This issue is important since it is the first definitive biography of the artist. The Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper announced it would be introduced on July 21, 1971. The artist said he was surprised that the printing alone cost the publishers $60,000. Bound in 1/4 black cloth over brown cloth, spine lettering gilt, red endpapers. A fine copy in publisher's slipcase with closed tear repair to upper edge.
