1914 hardcover as pictured. This is an attractive edition, quarter bound in tan cloth and brown paper covered boards with paste on labels on both front board and spine. The binding is firm. The cloth spine is soiled with slight fraying at head and tail. The paste on label is partially missing. The covers are lightly rubbed. Warmly inscribed and dated by the "Jake the translator". Rough cut text is lightly tanned but clean and unmarked. Portions of several pages have been tanned by contemporary newspaper clippings concerning the author and translator which were stored in the book. The clippings are included. No dust jacket.
