J. S. Virtue & Co. Ltd., 1889. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1889. No Edition Remarks. 410 pages. No dust jacket. Vol. I. Blue cloth with gilt lettering and borders. Deckled text block edges. Pages are bright with moderate tanning and foxing to free endpapers and text block edges. Ex-libris present on front paste-down, with pencil inscription to front endpapers. A few small nicks and creases along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Small chip to rear free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with minor corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Book has a mild forward lean. Faint tanning to spine and edges. Water drops on front board and spine.
