About This Item
New York: Oxford University Press. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1944. Third Printing. Hardcover. Hatcher was President of the Unviversity of Michigan for many years and authored several books on Michigan and the Great Lakes region. This book covers the entire region from pre-history until World War II. Contains an index in the rear. Original green cloth publisher's covers; end paper maps. The first printing was in 1944--this third printing was done in March 1945. The dust jacket is in tatters--the d.j. flaps describing the book and a portion of the front cover panel are loosely laid in. There is a small previous owner name on the top edge of the front paste-down and there is some light sunning to the lower portion of the spine, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. ; B&W Photographs, Maps; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 384 pages .
