New York: The Macmillan Co, 1956. First edition. First Printing. Good +. i-vii, 192pp, small 8vo. Black cloth over boards, stamped on spine. Book is a stated First Printing, dust jacket has small tears and wrinkles along several edges and at spine ends. Dust jacket has been clipped, but original price ($4.00) still remains. Spine head pushed with very small tear and chipping, jacket also has some soil. Book is straight with slight foxing; page 1 has a paper clip mark as a remnant. DJ has a Brodart protector. Contents: Introduction; I An Odyssey of Birds [wild geese]; II Navigators Without a Compass [herring and salmon]; III The Buffalo Trails; IV The Eighth Plague [locusts]; V The Race to Destruction [lemmings]. Book was originally published in France under the title "La Grande Aventure des Migrateurs
