Vol. IV : Published in 1915 . Covers the period from the Second Battle of Ypres to the Sulva Sea Battles . These large volumes are bound in sturdy three quarter leather , buckram bindings . The hinges on all volumes are tight with the exception that the front hinge on Volume IV is beginning to loosen . The covers on all volumes show some scuffing to the leather and the covers to Volume I are poor with material missing on the spine . Volume V also has material missing on the spine panel . The text blocks are in very good condition in all volumes and all of the original material is present .In summary , the textblock and all photographs are in very good condition . The hinges are are strong on the large , heavy volumes . The boards show deterioration , especially to the two spines .
