Printed Privately. Confidential.,1909. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 56pp. One of only 250 copies privately printed by R. & R. Clark of Edinburgh. Inscribed by Shaw on the half title page to Frances Noyes Hart; "The Committee refused to accept this statement; and there was a very pretty row about it which is fully described in the preface to the Shewing up of Blanco Posnet. G. Bernard Shaw. London. 3rd Oct. 1931. To Frances Noyes Hart". A fine copy in original blue stiff card wrappers printed in black to upper cover. This is then housed in a quarter green morocco slip case with raised bands and gilt rules and lettering to the spine. New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1922. Signed and Numbered First. Hardcover. Very Good with no dust jacket/No Dustjacket. From the signed, limited, numbered first printing, this is number 266, signed by the author at the limitation page opposite the full title. The pages are bright saving some toning around the deckled edges and quite clean except for a very few scattered spots of foxing; no owners' marks; the quarter cloth binding leans gently to the right but remains tight; the paper boards and paper title plate at the spine show some chipping around the edges, with a pressure mark at the bottom right front corner, a small inward turn and surface scuff at the top left rear corner, and some surface creasing at the corners and right edge of the title plate; some fading is also evident along the head edges of the paper and along the right rear, and the title plate is age-toned; nonetheless, a remarkably clean and attractive book, well-preserved. 459pp.; an extra copy of the title plate is tipped in at the…

Black grained paper over boards with black overlay on the spine with gilt and red lettering on the spine; author signature in red on the front board. 416 pp 8vo. Based on six years of talking with and traveling with Ali, Richard Dunham has produced the definitive story of Muhammad Ali as he has lived it. In this book, the heavyweight champion chronicles the battles he has faced in and out of the ring. The book is a multifaceted portrait of Muhammad Ali as sports legend; unapologetic anti-war advocate; goodwill ambassador; fighter, lover, poet, and provocateur. Westminister, Maryland, U.S.A.: Alfred a Knopf Inc, 2005.. Octavo, hardcover, near fine in near fine yellow dj. First edition. 305 pages. A caper starring the plucky Royal Thai police detective Sonchai Jitpleecheep. It takes place once more in District 8---the seedy underground world of Bankok, where a dramatically mutilated dead body is discovered . A CIA body, as it were. Bad enough, but the killer seems to be Chanya, a hard-boiled, sweet working girl, one of the best at The Old Man's Club (an establishment owned by both Sonchai's mother and his boss, Police Colonel Vikorn). Vikorn concocts a cover-up story, but the real truth will be harder to come by and will necessitate Sonchai coming to grips with his job and its rigors and his Buddhism as he runs the gamut of Bangkok's prostitues, drug dealser, bad cops, corrupt military, and the murmurings of his own tender heart.
