About This Item
Cambridge, UK: Cambridge University Press, 1989. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover, black cloth in publisher's dust-jacket. 581 pages. Bibliography, Index of Words and Topics; Index of Proper Names. First edition. Purchased from the private library of John M. Cooper, Emeritus Henry Putnam University Professor of Philosophy at Princeton University, albeit one of the few volumes thus that does not bear his name on the front end-paper [vol. one in paper-back does]. The chapter on Aristoxenus (pp. 120-150) shows mild pencil underlining and brief marginal notation in Greek in Dr. Cooper's hand. Overall a superior copy, but for pencil annotation mentioned above a clean, fresh, square and near as new volume. Very good+ in a fine dust-jacket. .
