The first three volumes are bound in modern blue cloth, with gold lettering to spines. Volume 4 with its original 3/4 calf over pebbled cloth, however rebacked, and retaining the original title labels on spine.
- Volume One: New Edition (1880), with Prefaces, 7 Chapters on the contents of the Prolegomena, The Text of the four Gospels, in Greek with footnotes in English, plus note on Ch. V2.
