London: Duckworth and Company, 1926. Bound by SANGORSKI AND SUTCLIFFE of London. Covers with French fillet bordering with corner rosettes. Panelled spine with red leather labels, elaborate gilt designs. Inner dentelles. Spine is sunned to tan, as is quite common with green leathers. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Small pleasant book-plate on front pastedown. This English edition of the Hudson novel is illustrated by Keith Henderson. There are ten double-page images, two single-page, and 22 chapter heads. First edition was published in 1904. 325pp. William Henry Hudson (1841-1922) was an English author, naturalist, and ornithologist. This novel is an exotic romance about a traveller to the Guyana jungle in SE Venezuela and his encounter with a forest dwelling girl named Rima. A fine early twentieth century novel in an equally fine binding!. Illustrated Edition. Full Emerald Smooth Morocco. Almost No Wear/No Jacket. Octavo.
