Rubbing and smudging on the top edges, tail, spine and corners. Outer edges have tanning, browning, stains and foxing. Damp stains on back board and spine. No loose pages. Guttering on inside and back covers. Green Rushes’ has 5 stories told at a hotel in southwest Ireland. They take place during the Black and Tan war, but they tell more of a tale of Ireland and its people. It helps to know history, that the Black and Tan war was between the IRA and the British and there are customs and terms of the time and place that are not explained. Neat contemporary owner name on the front endpaper. Slight lean, with a strip of fading along the bottom edge of the boards, light foxing to the page edges. Jacket has a few chips and short closed tears at the extremities, the largest being at the crown, affecting a portion of the title ("EEN" in "GREEN"). A very presentable copy overall.
