Santa Fe: Rydal Press, 1946. . 8vo, umber cloth; dust jacket with 1/2 inch x 1 inch segment lacking on front cover and 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 segment out of head of spine and back cover. Inscribed on the front free endpaper "The Grist Mill is the old mill at Pecos. Alice drew the sketch of it on the title page. Most of the poems are thoughts during the war years, & I indicate a locality for some...." Five of the poems have Long's annotations. Second revised edition
