About This Item
Washington: The Author?. Very Good+ with no dust jacket. 2006. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. The author's memoir that centers around his family legacy: describes his grandfather's journey from a village in Lebanon to Flint, Michigan where he founded Hamady Grocery Stores in 1911, which was taken over by his father--it is, of course, from the point of view of a third generation American whose worldview is considerably different than his predecessors. Original white publisher's cloth covers with gilt spine and cover lettering (the lettering is somewhat worn, but quite legible). This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. It is probably a first edition as there is no information to the contrary. This is a hardcover book, not a later softcover reprint--it does not appear to have been issued with a dust jacket. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 267 pages .
