Her husband, Nobel Laureate James D. Watson, has added his signature on the right-most margin, reading simply "Jim" (it would seem he signed the book at a later date, since Elizabeth Watson has dated the inscription twice--they used a blue ink for a the second round). He has written a preface to the book. On the front free endpaper of this copy is Elizabeth Watson's address stamp, ownership initials, and phone number, marking the book as a personal copy. A great find for fans of science; with the help of James Watson's leadership for 35 years (ending in 2007), the private Cold Springs Harbor Lab has distinguished itself as a beacon of research on cancer, neuroscience, plant biology, genomics, and quantitative biology. Very near fine without a dust jacket as issued.
