Bangkok: Royal State Railway Department of Siam, 1927. First edition. Illustrated green and gilt flexible cloth . Very good. Small octavo (standard size). Slight wear to edges and corners of covers. Spine slightly faded. Small nick on lower spine near front cover. Slight rippling to cloth on back cover. A little pulling at title page hinge. Pencil marks on TOC. Name and visitation dates (1932) by former owner on one of the endpapers. iii, 320 p. w/hundreds of b&w illus., 3 full page color illus. protected by tissues, color foldout maps covering the region, Siam, and and overview of greater Bangkok, another fold out map detailing the general plan of the city proper, and numerous street maps embeded in the text. Includes additonal xxiii p. of full page ads at rear. An attractive and interesting travel guide to a unique city.
