Proceedings of a seminar conducted under the sponsorship of the American Labor Education Service (ALES) and the Northwest Education Conference of Farmers and Workers. Introduction signed in type by Chester A. Graham, "Field Associate." Graham (1892-1980) a long-time labor and pacifist activist; in addition to his work for ALES in the Fifties, he was a prominent field organizer for the National Farmers Union during and after WW2; his papers are held by the Bentley Historical Library, University of Michigan.
