About This Item
New York: Women's National Republican Club, Inc., 1938. Book. Good. Soft cover. Edge wear, rubbing wear to spine. Stapled booklet, holding together well. Clean copy. Pages 3-50 with a few political cartoons. General political issues of the day during the Great Depression and the New Deal Era under President Roosevelt, not specifically women's issues. As this is a Republican publication, expect criticism of FDR and his policies. Contents printed on the front cover (see scanned image with this listing) are not complete. Additional articles were found. Of particular note in this issue, relevant to a current day issue, is an article about trade and tariffs, "Tariff and Shoes," by James E. Hill..
