Appendices A & B have been revised for this edition. A complete guide to training all breeds of hunting dogs. The author is a proponent of humane methods of training dogs rather than "breaking" them as was the standard method until General W. N. Hutchinson, a lover of dogs and horses, wrote a book in 1849, outlining his method of training which relied on kindness and reinforcement rather than brute force..
