Edinburgh: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, 1815 Bound in full period calf with gilt double borders and dentelles, blind stamped floral border, spine compartments in elaborate gilt and black, marbled endpapers, each volume with two half title and one title page. [1]-341;[1]-346; [1]-358. One sig in volume 1 quite proud; one sig proud in volume 2 and two pages reattached with archival glue. Each volume with bumped corners; 1" crack to the front bottom gutter of volume 2. All with bookplat eof James L'Anson of Darlington, a participant in the Battle of Waterloo A quite presentable and well preserved set.
