115-124 [=10] pp.First edition of a brief treatise on Joseph Halévys journey through the Jawf region of Yemen, collating the version of Habshush with Halévys account. St. John Philby (1885-1960), also known by his Arabian name "Sheikh Abdullah", was an Arabist, explorer, writer, and British colonial office intelligence officer. Very slight browning, a few minor stains on the first page, hinge in the middle slightly cracked. Overall in good condition.l Macro 1782; Smith, The Yemens, 84.
