Adam & Charles Black, London, 1949. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Joyce Millen. Preface by author. The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Joyce Millen. Light blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the front panel, along with a small self embossed illustration of a ballerina to the front panel. Illustrated dustwrapper, (wraparound), again by Joyce Millen, with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A small book on an original ballet created for Sadler's Wells Ballet Company by Sir Robert Helpmann based on Shakespeare's play Hamlet. Rubbing of the book edges with a little softening of the lower back strip edges. Light tanning of the text block edges and pages. A a few foxing spots to the end pages. Some Browning and marking to the top edge of the front panel. Chipping and pieces missing to the dustwrapper edges with rubbing of the creases and panels. Sunning to the back strip.
