An overview of the Oneida Community, a perfectionist communal society that lasted from 1848 to 1881, describing the Community's buildings and routines, financial habits, religious and social principles, and theories of free love, complex marriage and stirpiculture (the Oneida Community's program planned reproduction was technically the first eugenics experiment in American history).
