London: Carroll & Nicholson, 1951. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Cloth Bound Boards. Good+/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 1951 first edition, first printing with the gilt spine not the black. Size 12mo, 7.25" tall, 222 pages. Green cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. Condition good plus, corners hinges and spine ends rubbed, gilt on spine dulled, end-papers toned, previous owner's name on front end-paper, pages are slightly toned otherwise clean. The author's first collection of short and not so short stories.
