Dust jacket shows very slight wear along edges; in an archival mylar sleeve. 32 pages of photographs on glossy paper. 364 pages. Autobiographical account of military flying during the1960s by US Air Force General Merrill McPeak (b. 1936), former Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, 1990-1994, and Acting Secretary of the US Air Force in 1993. Covers his flying career from the point of early training through his time as lead solo pilot with the Thunderbirds in the late 1960s and aerial operations in Vietnam 1969-1970 where he completed 269 combat missions.
