NY: William Morrow and Company . VG. 1940. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First edition bound in tan cloth with red lettering and a hangman's no ose design on the front cover. A Very Good copy in a Poor dust jacket. The book's covers have thin, light discoloration marks from the glue that was used on a dust jacket protector. Rubbing to the spine tips an d corners. There are rub spots on the endpapers from where the dust ja cket protector was glued down. The original dust jacket is still glued to the remains of the old jacket protector. There are no library mark s or any other marks except the jacket protector's glue marks. Otherwi se just average shelf wear. Dresser is aka Brett Halliday. .
