Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1934. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Rockwell Kent. 1st Printing FIRST PRINTING of First Edition 1934. Original blue cloth. Paper title pages lettered in black (front cover one has illustration) front cover & spine. The book has rubbing to spine ends and corner tips, slight fading to spine, minor faint soiling, browning to EPs, some foxing on first and last few pages but other pages mostly free of foxing, old gift inscription on front pastedown dated 1938 otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding but paper-cracked rear EP (hinge is strong and not in danger of breaking). The book measures 208mm tall x 143mm, and has 287 + [1] pages, several b/w illustrations by Rockwell Kent. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
