Color frontis. tipped-in. Hardcover in paper-covered boards, red lettering stamped on front cover and spine. Lacking dust jacket. Corners worn, rear hinge starting, with toning commensurate with age. An important monograph in resurrecting the reputation of Hans Memling, single-handedly repositioning the artist in the pantheon of Netherlandish painters.
