About This Item

Painting. Very Good. No Binding. An original vintage oil on wood portrait by L. Gonjean that is signed and measures 15" x 17", in an ornate gilded frame. Our clown is clad in a yellow suit with a white collar, brightened by sky blue polka dots. He wears a ,too small, bright yellow hat with orange polka dots. He's enjoying the scent of the rose he's smelling, as depicted by his closed eyes and rapturous smile. The frame has a lot of detail and surrounds the portrait as though it's making a grand entrance into a room. Quite eye catching. The frame has some chipping of the gilt, exposing the white undercoat; however no major damage..
