The Happy Man And his Dump Truck

Board book, published by Simon and Schuster, part of the 'Little Golden' series of books for Children. This copy is the 'Jig-Saw Puzzle' edition, with a 19 piece puzzle within a frame on the inside of the back cover- the puzzle pieces are missing for this copy unfortunately. Edition 'B' of this book, noted on the gutter of the last page. I believe that this is the only edition that included the puzzle. The first edition, noted as 'A', being published in 1950. Unpaginated, approx, 28 pages. No writing on the text pages, no former ownership marks. Not a remainder, not a library discard. There is a light vertical crease down the length of the first four pages on the left side of the page. The frame for the puzzle has a closed tear at the lower left side with a chip to the frame of about 1/4" next to that tear. All text pages are intact and the binding is tight and square - and again - the puzzle pieces are missing for this copy. The gold foil on the spine is intact, with just one 1/4" chip at the heel of the spine. Some minor wear to the corners of the boards. The 'This Book Belongs To' panel is not filled out. This is the original text, more recent editions have a somewhat different story than the original by Miryam. Classic Illustrations by Tibor Gergely throughout!
