A very good copy with white library lettering on spine and wear at ends, library withdrawn bookplate on pastedown, four leaves sprung at center. Despite these faults a copy with a bright cover and internally clean and fresh. 4to. 202 pages. Frontispiece and illustrations in text by the author. Original decorated cloth, all edges gilt. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. Gibson was a popular American writer and lecturer on natural history, and illustrated much of his own work, as here.
