A lengthy scolding on the dangers of "keeping up appearances", third in the series, Stories from Real Life, Designed to teach true independence and domestic economy. Lacking front and rear free endpapers. Foxed throughout; leaf with pages 7-8, with a closed tear. In rubbed and faded, original pebbled black cloth, gilt-titled on the front board.
