Loosely inserted are 3 handwritten and 2 typed letters, one being from the author, the handwritten letters are from John Yates of the Thomas Hardy Society and another typed letter from C. Somerville (Director, Literature Dept., British Council). Fore-edges are lightly foxed o/w contents are clean and fresh. Wrapper is slightly worn and very lightly sunned to spine.
